To explore the issue of Integrated Service Delivery CLAN WA hosted a fourm on 26th October 2010. The following documents reflect the content of this forum.

CLAN WA launched a new Disability Training Toolkit in October 2008. The toolkit assists people who work with families that have a child with a disability. CLAN WA and UnitingCare West worked in partnership with funding from the Disability Services Commission to produce the toolkit.

The Disability Training Toolkit Notes, Fact Sheet and Resource List .
A number of families we currently work with have a child with a disability and request assistance with parenting strategies. This toolkit is designed to help our volunteers gain additional skills for working with families who have a child with a disability.
We recognise that there are a wide range of services available for families from organisations that have a disability focus. This toolkit is freely available to organisations to help build their capacity and widen the availability of all services for all families.
In the development of the module, volunteers and trainers were asked the content that was important to include. Their preferred styles of adult learning and workshop techniques were important considerations. The module consists of:A Toolkit: Background information for the co-ordinators and trainers of volunteers.
Fact Sheets: Nine fact sheets describing in brief some key aspects of different types of disability ie Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, Autism.
The Workshop: A three hour workshop designed to be delivered to volunteers to assist them in working with families who have a child with a disability.
Resource List: Consists of agencies and websites, primarily in Western Australia, where workers can obtain additional information.
CLAN WA is committed to supporting and recognising the valuable contribution made by Volunteers. We have taken a lead in developing best practice in the field of supporting volunteers. In 2004 we published ground breaking research into the motivational drives of volunteers in Western Australia. The research provides a valuable insight into motivational drives and provides an easy-to-use tool to help identify the key motivational drives for each individual volunteer.
